Just instruct him or her to discontinue the pouring process and check the quantity that has since been dropped into the tank. It is possible that the diesel since poured into the tank is less than ten percent of its full capacity. Such a situation does not warrant any tension or further action. Just get petrol filled into the remaining portion of the tank and drive away peacefully. This small quantity of diesel does not make any difference.
- Draining out – Removing the entire diesel from the petrol engine becomes necessary if the quantity is much. The engine may become defective because of the diesel in a petrol engine that has since been poured in great quantum. The fuel system and the injectors may become defective. A siphon pump may be used to remove diesel. When the fuel tank is free from the diesel it is recommended that the right fuel, i.e. petrol is put into it. Be advised to start the engine after a gap of five minutes at least.
- Take the car to a remote place – Putting wrong fuel, i.e. diesel into the petrol tank is prone to various problems. If you come to know the mistake that enough diesel has since been poured into the petrol engine, take the car to a safe place. It would protect you and the vehicle from the possible harms and other dangers that could happen on the busy road.

They would take the car to the requisite destination for removing the diesel that has since been put into the petrol engine. The car would be towed by them to the garage for doing the necessary repairs that are necessary because of the possible damages if any.
